I love the Monsoon thunderstorms here in Arizona. The excitement of the lightning and the rolling thunder makes me want to grab my camera and tripod and sit outside to enjoy the distant storm. This storm was over Tucson. I am about 18 miles south of town. The storm was creating a lot of wind turbulence so some of the foreground is a little fuzzy. I used 8 second exposure for these shots. I was going to use my new Lightning Bug trigger but decided to use the longer exposure instead. The orange hue at the bottom of the image is caused by city lights in the distance.
