(#03) Starlight Theatre
We went to Big Bend National Park in west Texas on our visit a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful place. Unfortunately it was raining quite a bit and we could not get out and enjoy hiking and exploring.
We stopped in Terlingua, Texas. It is a very unusual little town near the international border with Mexico. There were a few gift shops and hotels that were very rustic and aged. I loved the old Starlight Theatre Restaurant & Bar complete with the antique car out front. There was also La Posada Milagro guesthouse. These appeared to be cabins made from the rock remains of the ghost town. Not really sure because we didn’t stop and inquire. The town is built around an old ghost town and cemetery.
