12 Months of same image - February: Evolution of the Pecan Grove

I started documenting this mature pecan grove late last year, taking monthly photos from the same corner of the grove. Unfortunately the building of a new road through the groves has had an impact on the location that I have been shooting from. This may be my last shot at this location due to the heavy equipment on this once lonely road. I may be moving to another location for future shots of the pecan groves.

Since the January photo, the pecans have been harvested. Leaves and husks were removed from the trees. All leaves and branches have been cleaned up around the base of the trees. Every third row of trees are pruned and trimmed for new growth. This particular grove did not get trimmed. I don’t know if it will be trimmed in the coming weeks or not.
