Question for ART101: The lines Pollock created in his spontaneous "Action Paintings" were highly irregular in their directions, in their shapes and in their thicknesses. By contrast, regular lines suggest careful planning. Is it possible to analyze this painting in terms of contrapposto, in terms of its containing these two opposites: randomness and order? In other words, can you spot or sense a certain rhythm or pattern within this chaos?
