Reconstructed Appomattox County (VA) Courthouse

Originally built in 1846, the Appomattox County Courthouse served the county during and after the Civil War, until it burned in 1892. That same year, a new courthouse was built three miles away. This structure was reconstructed in 1964 and serves as the Visitor Center for the Appomattox Court House National Historic Park. Information from a tourist brochure.
