The Paramount Theatre, located in downtown Austin, Texas, opened in 1915 as a vaudeville house, becoming a movie theater during the 1920s. It was restored in the 1970s and now offers live performances as well as films. The marquee had included a vertical blade sign until the 1960s, and in honor of the theater's 100th anniversary, the blade in this shot was installed last year.
