Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse
The Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse, located in the Delaware Bay just off Cape Henlopen, Delaware, is a 72-foot tower that still serves as a navigation aid to ships. This structure was built in 1926, replacing another lighthouse built in 1908. The Delaware River & Bay Lighthouse Foundation currently preserves the lighthouse. I took this shot while on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, shortly before it landed in Lewes, Delaware. Explore 262, 9/19/15.
