Another Rare Duple

Found alone in a yard on the outskirts of Liverpool about twelve years ago this Duple 'Continental' bodied coach was looking rather unloved. I cannot remember what the chassis was and there are no visible badges to give clues. Perhaps someone out there could tell me more as it has bugged me for some time now!

The registration on this ex Toppings-Crown coach (of Wavertree I presume) was 3939 LV but I don't think it was the original one as I cannot find any record of it. Only small numbers of the Burlingham designed Continental and the later Alpine Continental were built in the early sixties, and I believe that they were all on either Leyland Leopard or AEC Reliance chassis.
