DAY 92: Chicago's not so wonderful April Fools joke
Apr 01 092/366
Chicago had a worse April Fool's joke to play on its residents than any of its residents could play on each other.
Street cleaning begins on April 1 of each year and this year April Fool's Day fell on a Tuesday which is the day that much of Chicago's street cleaning is done.
Morgan's car actually disappeared on that day and so she thought it got towed (oddly enough since I had gotten my car towed only a bit before). Sadly it turns out that it got stolen.
When she texted me in the morning, I actually thought she was playing a joke on me. It wasn't until the 3rd when it was still gone that I actually believed her that it happened.
This was the sign that was near my car but I moved it before I could face my first ticket of the new street cleaning year.
Funnily enough when I took this photo there was a guy from one of the apartments along Fullerton that said he had taken photos of the cars that were ticketed and he would gladly share them with me if mine was one of them.
I told him that I was just taking a photo.
