The feeding of the Cuckoo chick by an Eurasian Reed Warbler

Took a short visit to the Oostvaardersplasssen National park, when i saw two birdwatchers getting very excited, so i sneaked to them and one told me that their was a young cuckoo chick right in front of them, usually i knew cuckoos from hearing and not seeing, the problem that accured was that the cuckoo had to be aproached very carefully otherwise he would flew straight away, so when i got their an other problem was that there many leaves and branches, so no photo, and than he moved straight to a place where he was reasonable seeable, the reed warbler appeared out of nothing had my camera ready and got one oppertunity, and i was delighted that i took it and not spoiled it, it happened in a fraction of a second, but it felt like it took hours, was totally excited, to see this with my own eyes, the cuckoo flew straight afther this where it was not able to take a photo of him anymore, Very lucky me!

P.S a cuckoo is a brood paraite, it lays it eggs in a nest from a hist parent throw rheir own eggs out or young born chicks and the host raised the young cuckoo completely, wich is larger than his host then you get the strange view like abovem the host parent shows great determination in raising the young cuckoo, a mechanism in natyre hard to unerstand and very hard to see, and then the thing that they are migrating birds the both of them, and that they leave already next month

P.s. A reed warbler is een kleine Karekiet
