A purple heron is about to land

this is an example of save the best for the last, made a little cycletour and saw nothing out of the usual, untill i spotted this purple heron at the Lepelaarsplassen near the cyclepath in between the Noorderplassen and the Lepelaarsplassen, never saw one before in the Netherlands with my own eyes and felt it as a new highlight in seeing animals in their own habitat
