One of the city's most beautiful mosques is that of Sidi Saiyyed, an Abyssinian who was in the service of one of Sultan Shams-ud-Din Muzaffer Shah III's generals. It was completed in 1573 and is notable for its magnificent stone latticework windows, known as 'jaalis'.
