Aswan 51

Inaugurated in 1998, the Nubia Museum has become one of Aswan's most popular tourist attractions. It is devoted to the history, arts and crafts of Nubia, the area which lies to the south of Aswan; much of it now lies under the surface of Lake Nasser, created artificially by the building of the new Aswan Dam. The landscaped grounds contain a number of open-air exhibits, including this traditional Nubian house.
