Trabzon
Trabzon's main attraction for art and architecture lovers is the Church of Ayasofya, which was built under Emperor Manuel I Comnenus between 1238 and 1263. Since then it has been restored on several occasions. It was a museum until 2013, when it reverted - controversially - to being a mosque. This photograph is of several of the frescoes adorning the central apse, including (on the right) the Miraculous Draught of Fishes.
