Today, I went hiking the Torrey Pines state preserve, one of my favorite places to "get away from it all" in San Diego. There are many scenic trails that wind through the cliffs and bluffs overlooking the Pacific ocean, with benches and lookouts along the way.
After all the rain we've had over the past few weeks, it felt so amazing to feel the sun warming my skin again, and I couldn't resist taking off my shoes and sticking my feet into the air while resting on one of the benches, with the ocean in the background. I felt rather embarrassed, though, when I turned around and saw a group of tourists watching me. Oh well...we're all fruits and nuts in Cali, you know!! LOL!
