The Smirk
This is Friski. We found him two and a half years ago laying in the middle of a plowed up field by our house. He was completely skin and bones, totally filthy and the pads on all his feet were peeling off. He must have walked for miles for that to have happened. He was terrified so it took us awhile to catch him ~ I'm not quite sure how he mustered up enough energy to run from us! It was a good thing we found him when we did because the temperature dropped and we got snow a few days later. I really doubt he would have lived through it having no body fat to keep him warm. He has more than doubled his weight and is now one of the happiest little dogs I know.
This picture is from one of our many walks, not far from the field we found him in. I'm not quite sure what he was thinking about, but it must have been good!
