Marsh Lane signalbox on 4th March 1961, the signalbox steps are between the supports for the signalgantry.
Marsh Lane was the site of the first railway station in Leeds, which was the Leeds and Selby Railway terminus opened on 22nd September 1834. The signalbox (originally Marsh Lane East) was unusual in having a frame at the front of the box 1 to 33 and another at the rear 34 to 49, and was almost square . The box was the first box to close under the LEEDS PSB resignalling on 17th October 1965.
