Swindon Works.

Seen stored in the works yard at Swindon are three withdrawn GWR King Class 4-6-0 locomotives 6025, 6026 and 6011.

 

6025 'King Henry III' built at Swindon Works and delivered in April 1928, fitted with double chimney in March 1957 withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped at Swindon in January 1964.

 

6026 'King John' built at Swindon Works and delivered in July 1930, fitted with double chimney in March 1958 withdrawn in September 1962 and scrapped at Swindon in May 1964.

 

6011 'King James I' built at Swindon Works and delivered in April 1928, fitted with double chimney in March 1956 withdrawn in December 1962 and scrapped at Swindon in January 1964.
