10001 inside the steam roundhouse at Willesden shed, visible on the nose above the buffer is the coupling code Red Diamond, which means that the only locomotive she could couple in multiple with was her sister 10000.
A re-scan of a picture previously posted.
Built by the LMS at Derby Works she was delivered to BR on 10th July 1948, she lasted two years longer than her sister being withdrawn on 12th March 1966 and was scrapped at Cox and Danks in North Acton in February 1968.
