Hunslet Mills

If I had a favourite derelect building in Leeds, I guess this would be it. Empty for many years, it is still an imposing structure. Proposals to convert it to flats have come to nothing and as time progresses and the building fabric deteriorates, restoration seems increasingly unlikely. Building sand, brought up the river by barge, used to be offloaded by crane in front of the mill - a practise that ended in about 1996.
