A Happy Child....A Happy Mother.....and A Happy Doctor in A Medical Camp!
The doctor, a child specialist in profession, in his early 80's, still active and healthy, lives in rural Bengal leading a full and productive life!
World Health Day - 7 April
Every year, World Health Day, a global campaign, is celebrated on 7 April to mark the anniversary of the founding of WHO in 1948. Each year a theme is selected for World Health Day that highlights a priority area of concern for WHO.
The topic of World Health Day in 2012 is Ageing and health with the theme "Good health adds life to years". The focus is how good health throughout life can help older men and women lead full and productive lives and be a resource for their families and communities.
The camp was organised by Himalayan Medical Camp, a voluntary organisation of nature lovers and doctors, formed in 1992 by one of my friends, Milan Nag.
