The Old Danchi

I took these photos in the central shopping area of the Toyoshiki Danchi (豊四季団地) housing complex in Kashiwa, Japan. The huge block of over 100 buildings was constructed after the war, and after its completion in 1964 housed 4850 families. Now it is being slowly torn down and rebuilt. The whole area is a great example of modern postwar Japanese construction.

Taken with the Panasonic GX7 using Olympus 25mm F1.8 lens.
