Trading Spaces

by raining rita

Eleven years ago my house was all neat and tidy, so much so that my daughter-in-law now admits she was intimidated by it. THEN things happened: 1. Jerry build an addition 24X24 feet, two stories. The building of the addition was the start of The Great Furniture Migration, in which every room even the basement rooms were disrupted. Many things were packed away and remain packed to this day. Furniture became displaced, homeless and it wondered around place to place seeking refuge.
2. When the addition was finished we shared our space with Jerry's Mom. She insisted on bringing EVERYTHING to our house. She had a three bedroom house, a lot of stuff, albeit really nice stuff.
3. We also shared our space with foster children for five years.
4. We got grandkids...We now claim eight children as our grandchildren. Having Grandchildren renewed my interest in toys...I got "some" for the grandkids to play with.
5. When Jerry's Mom died we gave a lot of her beautiful things to my kids, but we still have a lot.
So here it is ten years later and I am redefining spaces...trying to figure out what should go where...wish me luck
