Hilda's Easter Outfit

Hilda's Easter Outfit

Hilda's Story

Once upon a time my mother wished for a doll with a wardrobe. I said, "Mother you are an expert seamstress, one of the very best why don't you make it for yourself? Mother replied, "I made doll clothes for you and for your sisters and all of your alls friends. I am not going to make ANY more doll clothes." To which I answered (with my parent tapes rolling), "Well, then I guess you will just have to suffer." In the next few weeks I kept thinking about Mother's wish. Finally I said, "Mom, if you buy the doll I will make her a wardrobe." Mother quickly gave me Hilda and I spent my free time in the next year making Hilda a wardrobe. Jerry made her a marvelous cabinet to keep the clothes in. Each outfit came with a hanger, foot ware, under ware, hats and toys. And here is Hilda in her Easter Bonnet.

Hilda is a porcelain made by Cora Stivers form Wolverine KY.
