The provenance of the MIJ Christmas tree: The lady I bought it from said, "When we lived in Chicago the neighbors across the street gave this to me. The neighbors' name was Hummel and they were related to the German Hummels that made the figurines. The seller has several yard sales a year and I always find the most interesting delightful treasures at her sales. I also see her checking out other yard sales.
