This is a stacked photo of the Orion Nebula (M42) cropped to see only the sky while keeping the field of view as wide as possible.

 

This image was taken with a 5D Mark II and a 70-200mm 2.8L lens. This image is compiled from 87 1sec. exposures at 200mm @ 2.8. In addition, 19 “dark” fames, and 20 “bias” frames were also used in stacking the final image.
