This is a stacked photo of the Triangulum Galaxy (M33) without any cropping to show the field of view.
I actually meant to get the Andromeda Galaxy M31, but made a mistake and pointed it at the wrong location. I was able to make out a blurry blob with the naked eye and thought I had found Andromeda. In any case I am quite happy with the result, this being my very first deep sky photograph.
This image was created from stacking 137 5sec. exposures. An additional 26 “dark” images and 23 “bias” images we used in the final stacked image. This was shot with a Canon 5D MII with a 70-200mm 2.8L @ 200mm.
