Teletubbies - promotional badge (1996/1997)

The Teletubbies Magazine was a spin off from the children’s BBC TV program of the same name and was published from 1997 until 2009 to accompany the series. At the height of Teletubby mania in 1997, the magazine had a top circulation of over 270,000 copies but had dwindled to 24,000 over the first six months of 2009 before it ceased publication.

Teletubbies was a pre-school children’s TV program produced by Ragdoll Productions Ltd and aired on BBC from March1997 to January 2001, a total of 365 episodes. The series was a huge commercial success with massive merchandise and spin-off sales in its first few years.

This badge came free with the magazine and was jointly issued by Ragdoll Productions Ltd and BBC Worldwide Ltd.
