SMARTIES ceramic mug by Hornsea Pottery (c.1980)
This attractive Smarties mug was made by Hornsea Pottery and probably as part of an Easter egg pack. Hornsea also made a Smarties eggcup having the same design. Hornsea Pottery were established in 1949 and closed in 1984.

Size: 3 1/4" x 3 7/16" O.D. excluding the handle (82mm x 87mm).
Finish: multi-colour screen printed and with a clear vitreous glaze on a brown coloured ground inside and outside.
