Stitching the Swift Moth
7.2.09
It's back to stitching my bread-and-butter line of moth and butterfly brooches! This is the "Swift Moth" which emerges from life underground to a brief flight to mate and die. These are stitched onto non-woven interfacing stabilised between two layers of bridal tulle. The bodies are recycled mink! You can see my inspiration in the background.
