Leduc 010, Musee de l'Air et Espace, Le Bourget, 05-06-2022

Ordered in 1937 by the Ministry of Air, the Leduc 010 was almost completed in May 1940. It will be resumed and completed in December 1945 to perform its initial flight on November 19, 1946 mounted in composite on an SE 161 "Languedoc". Piloted by Jean Gonord, the Leduc 010 became on April 21, 1949 the first aircraft in the world to fly with a thermopropulsive nozzle. The model on display was originally the 016 fitted with 2 “Marboré” 250 kgp turbojets. Due to the weakness of these engines, the aircraft was upgraded to 010 standard in 1952 and flew until 1964.
