Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Florida, Punta Gorda

In the Southern United States, following the Civil War to the mid 20th century, the segregation of races in public transportation and transportation facilities was legal. The photograph show the entrance to the "White" waiting room at the former Atlantic Coast Line depot in Punta Gorda, Florida. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
