Michigan, Jonesville, J.J. Deal and Son Carriage Factory; Kiddie Brush and Toy Company; Heritage Lane Residences Apartment Housing
Constructed between 1892 and 1909, the J. J. Deal and Son carriage factory transitioned to producing automobiles as the Deal Motor Vehicle Company around 1909. The enterprise ceased operations in 1915. From 1918 to 1928, the Universal Body Company manufactured automotive bodies there. During the 1930s, the building housed Jonesville Sheet Metal Products and the Jonesville Screw Products Company. In 1937, Paul A. Jones acquired the factory, founding the Kiddie Brush and Toy Company, which crafted a diverse range of children's toys. By 1961, the company expanded its production to include Barbie doll accessories. The factory shut down when Kiddie Toy moved in 1970.
