The diminutive, one-room house was originally located in North Vernon, Indiana and was the office of Eldo Hicks' general contracting construction business. The business operated out of the small office from the late 1880s to about 1910. The side gable house with fish scale gable-end siding, has highly decorative and intricate exterior trim work.
In 2007, the Jennings County Historical Society moved the structure to Vernon, Indiana where it was restored and dedicated in 2009.
