The roadside rest park built in 1930 around the time this section of US 66 was opened at the location of the junction of US 66 and US 281. Over the years the park was refurbished several times. The rest park is located within the boundary of the Bridgeport Hill - Hydro Route 66 Segment listed on the National Register of Historic Places. However it is not a contributing property. Contributing properties are limited to bridges and roadway features.
