Minnesota, Itasca County, U. S. Forest Service, Chippewa National Forest, Marcell Ranger Station, Oil House II

The structure known as Oil House II is a small, rectangular frame structure that was built in 1956. The building is sheathed with half-log siding. Its gable roof extends across the façade providing a protective canopy. The Marcell Ranger Station is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) era building and structures at the Ranger Station are listed as contributing structures. Because Oil House II was built after the period of significance, it is considered a non-contributing structure.
