South Carolina, Bluffton, Sealtest Ice Cream (15,856-2)
This one-story, concrete block structure was probably built around 1940. It was a neighborhood store known as "The Rate." The building on a corner lot has a front gable roof with a stepped parapet wall. On the side of the building (east facade) that is exposed to the street is a faded wall advertisement. In 2020, when this photograph was taken the building was undergoing renovation. The building is in the Bluffton Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a contributing structure.
