Union Station Train Shed, Tennessee, Nashville (Gone)
The Union Station trainshed was built in the late 1890s and could handle up to 10 full sized trains. The shed was reported to be the largest single-span, gable roof structure consturcted tin United States, The shed was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1975. In 1996 a fire damaged the shed. In 2001 the shed was demolished because it was deemed unsafe. The trainshed was withdrawn as a Historic Landmark site in 2003.
