New York, Sleepy Hallow, Tarrytown (1,476)

The light was built in 1883 to warn boats away from the dangerous shoals on the east bank of the Hudson River. The conical shaped, cast iron, tower stands 60 feet in height. With the construction of the Tappen Zee bridge in 1955 the light became obsolete.
