Union Pacific Railroad, Wyoming, Rawlins
The center portion of the Union Pacific Railroad depot, incorporating elements of the Richardsonian Romanesque Style, was built in 1901. Additions were built on each end between 1903 and 1912. The depot served passengers into the early 1980s. By 1884, the building was underutilized and neglected, except for a portion that was railroad office space. In the early 2000s, the City of Rawlins assumed control of the building and renovated it for social events and as a meeting place. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
