New Mexico, Gallup, Hotel El Rancho

The Hotel El Rancho served Route 66 travelers. As western movies become popular, the landscape around Gallup became prime filming locations. The hotel served movie industry support personnel and actors. Rooms where an actors stayed were often named after them. Thus the motto, "Home of The Movie Stars."
