Western Maryland Railway, West Virginia, Elkins

The two-story brick Romanesque Revival style depot was built in 1908 by the Western Maryland Railway. In 2014, the building, characterized by its broad hip roof with large overhangs and timber brackets, housed the Elkins Depot Welcome Center, and was used by the Durbin & Greenbrier Valley Railroad's tourist trains. The building is a contributing property in the Downtown Elkins Historic District listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
