[Buses in Beijing]华宇 Huayu BJD-WG120C <Trolley-bus> 北京公交集团 BPT #85892 (Prototype) Front-right at Dengshi West Crossing

A BJD-WG120C 12m standard floor air-conditioning trolley-bus built by Beijing Huayu Trolley-bus Plant

Among hundreds of BJD-WG120As built, there are two distinctive counterparts of them. Prototype BJD-WG120C are air-conditioning versions of 120A, but unfortunately is not put forward. Sharing most of the technical dimensions with 120A, the 120C twins can be easily recognized by their iconic air-conditioning unit cover. Fleet No. 85892, shown in this picture, is equipped with a Thermo King under a huge cover; Fleet No. 85893, is equipped with a Carrier, whose cover is much thinner. In addition, Fleet No. 85893 features brown tinted windows.

BJD-WG120Cs are basically derived from the 3rd-batch BJD-WG120A, primarily built on a Steyr 91 chassis and powered by the famous Shanghai-made ZQ-60 60kW DC motor. Different with most 120As, the two 120C has more seats inside.

In the picture, Fleet No. 85892 (Trolley-buses Division, Trolley-bus, Code 892) on Workers' Pioneer Bus Line 104 is pulling into Dengshi (Lamp Market) West Crossing (north, west-side) stop. Southbound trolley-bus Line 103 and 104 proceed south at Dengshi West Crossing, turn onto Jinyuchi (Golden Fish Pool) Alley to avoid the pedestrian-only section, turn back to Wangfujing Street and cross Chang'an Avenue at Wangfujing Crossing. From this stop for the next 2.5km approximately no overhead wires are built. Like other buses on Line 103 and 104, Fleet No. 85892 lowered its poles before pulling into the stop and proceed with its auxiliary propulsion system.
