McLaren Road Loco 1110 "Big Mac"
Resisting the temptations of the Edwardian ice cream vendor as it passes through Beamish Museum town is 1910-built McLaren road locomotive 1110 "Big Mac", registered BF 5258 and weighing 16 tons.
The engine was formerly used in New Zealand where it gained the nickname "Big Mac". The name plate has only recently been added to the engine.
