1934 Renault TN6C Bus
Making its way around Beamish Museum is this rather unusual sight on British roads, a 1934-built Renault TN6C motorbus, now UK registered XVS 765.
These buses were introduced into Paris, France following the withdrawal of suburban trams in the 1930's. This particular bus, with its larger six-cylinder, 94hp, engine, would have been used on long suburban routes and hilly runs. These buses were not withdrawn from the Paris roads until the early 1960's.
The bus, which is now owned by Proctors of Leeming Bar (UK), was at Beamish as part of the "Fares Please" event of May 2023.
