1952 Bedford K2 Bus
Standing by the bus depot at Beamish Museum is this unique little 1952-built Bedford K2 bus, now UK registered 533 YUT.
The cab and chassis were built for, and exported to, New Zealand, where a local body was fitted.
The resulting bus spent its entire working life at St. Andrew's College in Christchurch (NZ). Following withdrawal from service it was repatriated to the UK where it has been fully restored and is now owned by Proctors of Leeming Bar (UK).
The bus was at Beamish Museum for their "Fares Please" event of May 2023.
