Sweet Shop Stop
Parked up outside the Jubilee Confectioners sweet shop on Beamish Museum's Edwardian town street are these two fine vintage cars. The owners are obviously filling up with the endless sugary goodies available from this recreated early 20th Century shop with it's old glass jars of sweets of types that are fondly remembered from distant childhood - an absolute Aladdin's cave of sweet temptation.
The car on the left, with it's sparkling white livery, is a 1927-built Austin Seven "Chummy" AD tourer, registered DP 8798. Behind it is a 1928-built Ford Model-A Tudor Sedan, registered WK 7068.
