1916 Perry
Standing in front of the massive Bucyrus steam shovel at Beamish Museum is this rare example of British automotive history, a 1916 Perry 8hp 2cyl coupe registered BF 6443.
Although the car was delivered in 1916, it was not registered until 1921 - presumably because of the effects of the first world war. Indeed, it was quite unusual for a car to be delivered at all during the war years.
These cars were made by the Perry Motor Company based in Birmingham (UK) who only made cars between 1913 and 1916.
