"Robin" Starch Advert

An Edwardian enamelled metal advertisement for the once-famous "Robin" starch adorns the fence at the top of Beamish Museum town street. In Victorian/Edwardian times the use of such starches in the clothes washing/ironing process was commonplace. This particular advertisement is sufficiently "weathered" to suggest that it has had a long and hard life!
