Tricky Reversing
Furness Railway Company Engine No. 20 pulls off a tricky reverse in the sidings of Rowley Station in Beamish Museum. This Sharp, Stewart 0-4-0 tender locomotive - Works No.1448, built in 1863 - is the oldest, working, standard gauge locomotive in Britain! It is briefly a very special guest at Beamish Museum, on temporary loan for the Steam Event of 25-27 September 2008.
